Shabnam Nadiya is a writer and translator from Bangladesh. She completed her MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop in SN2012 where she received a Truman Capote Fellowship and a Teaching Writing Fellowship as a graduate student. She was also awarded a post-graduate fellowship for 2012-13 in the form of an Adjunct position at the University of Iowa. Currently she is working on her collection of linked stories titled Pye Dogs and Magic Men: Stories, which received the 2013-14 Schulze Fellowship.
