Mitul’s house was the best-kept secret in our campus town. Usually – ours being a small community, and one that took neighbourliness to wicked extremes – everyone knew what was cooking in everyone else’s pot. When the whole thing finally came out, it absolutely astonished the campus aunties how they could not have known what was going on. Or so they said.
